You should plan on speaking for 30-45 minutes and then taking questions from the audience. A written paper would be great, though we do not demand it since we can't pay for the talk. Given the nature of the conference, I'm looking for a fairly detailed, scientifically well-grounded talk, rather than a talk that covers many things in a shallow, speculative way. I'd be happy to publicize your work at the conference. You should also feel free to spend a few minutes on it before or after your talk. Anders: Something I forgot before--you and whoever else is coming with you from Sweden are very welcome to stay at Natasha and my home in Marina del Rey for one of the nights you're here for Siggraph. >BTW, how do I refer to the stipend? I would really like to add a >correct thanks to the people making this trip possible to my speech. It's been a while, so I had to look back. It was Sean Hasting's who handed me $1,000 (in cash!) for your attendence. So it would be appropriate to thank Sean for making it possible, and ExI for its role. Do you know where you will spend Monday night - what the phone number will be? I will be at 310 859 2475. I could call you and we could arrange to meet Tuesday. ----- Forwarded message from Tod Foley ----- Anyway, I'm 30-90 minutes north of the downtown area (the variable is = due to traffic density; a drive to the airport takes 30 minutes at 2 in = the morning, but it takes 90 minutes at 9AM.
