Synopsis

Bulk and Surface looks like normal Aberrant on the surface… but is really a setting about a cosmic invasion. The Earth is being invaded by something that seeks to use all of humanity as raw material. And the first victims are the novas.

Ironically, quite a few of the theories about what causes novas are correct to some extent. Novas are actually humans who have gained a quantum symbiont giving them tremendous power. Right now the symbionts are slowly adapting and trying to learn how to interface with humans, while the humans are unaware of the situation. Slowly the control is going to come creeping in, until the symbionts know enough to take over completely. At that point humanity will end, as all humans erupt and become nova-tools for the alien antities sending out the symbionts.

Right now novas are just starting to suspect that something is amiss. Is it just paranoia, or is there something frightening going on? And once they find out, what can they do about it? It is one thing to save the world from a meteor, another thing entirely to save it from yourself.
