Rather than being swept away he blocked the avalanche and directed it around the group. The event caused sensation, but also complicated his position as minister. He resigned due to “health reasons” and became an independent consultant (with strong support from his party, the SPD). He was instrumental in the formation of ENA, where he rapidly became both trusted and essential. Later developments: Struck became nova coordinator in April 2005, with powers on par with Louis García Carrión. He personally oversaw the activities of ENA-aligned novas and coordinated several important operations. His integrity and organizing ability made him popular both among novas and EU leaders, and his non-threatening powers made him accepted among the European public. As the nova situation worsened he increasingly poured efforts into ENAs more secret projects, a moral gamble which paid out. Unwilling to continue such tricks he retired to planet Delta. Powers: Struck is essentially indestructible. Experiments with the German military show that he can take artillery shells with ease, and ought to survive at least tactical nuclear strikes. He is also able to control the shape and movement of crystalline material such as ice, salt or liquid crystal displays. |
